An accessibility-first pattern library for a public-sector service, built to meet WCAG 2.2 AA as a baseline rather than a retrofit.
The work
Process
Audited the existing UI against WCAG 2.2 AA, rebuilt color, focus, and typography tokens for contrast, and shipped keyboard- and screen-reader-tested patterns with usage guidance baked into the docs.
Outcome
Core journeys reached documented WCAG 2.2 AA conformance, and teams reused audited patterns instead of relitigating accessibility on every screen.
